(1)IPX 1
Method Name: Vertical Water Drop Test
Testing Equipment: Water dropping device
Sample Arrangement: The sample is placed at the normal working position on the rotary sample table at a speed of 1r/min. The distance between the top of the sample and the water dropping port should be no more than 200mm.
Test Condition: water dropping amount: 10. 5 mm/min
Duration Time: 10 min
(2)IPX 2
Method Name: 15° Water Drop Test
Testing Equipment: Water dropping device
Sample Arrangement: 15° angle between one side of the sample and the vertical line. The distance between the top of the sample and the water dropping port should be no more than 200mm. Turn to another side after each test, four times in total.
Test Condition: water dropping amount: 30.5 mm/min
Duration Time: 4*2.5 min (10 min in total)

Method Name: Water Spray Test
Test Method:
a. Pendulum Tube Type Water Spray Test
Testing Equipment: Pendulum tube type water spray test device
Sample Arrangement: Select the pendulum tube with suitable radius, the sample is placed on the sample table as high as the diameter of the pendulum tube. The distance between the top of the sample and the water injection nozzle should be no more than 200mm. The sample table is not rotated.
Test Condition: The water flow rate is calculated according to the number of water injection nozzles (0.07 L/min per nozzle). The water is sprayed from the water injection nozzle in the segmental arc with an angle of 60° with the center point of the pendulum tube. The sample is placed in the center of the semicircle of the pendulum tube. The pendulum tube swings at an angle of 60° with the vertical line, 120° in total. It swings (2*120°) for about 4s each time.
Test Time: Water spray for 10 min
b. Shower Head Type Water Spray Test
Testing Equipment: Handheld water spray test device
Sample Arrangement: The parallel distance between the top of the sample and the water injection nozzle should be 300mm-500mm.
Test Condition: The baffle with balance weights should be installed, and the water flow rate is 10 L/min.
Test Time: It is calculated according to the superficial area of the shell of the sample, 1min per square meter (excluding installation area), 5 min at least.
(4)IPX 4
Method Name: Water Splashing Test
Test Method:
a.Pendulum Tube Type Water Splashing Test
Testing Equipment and Sample Arrangement: The same as type a of IPX 3;
Test Condition: It is the same as type a of IPX 3 except the after-mentioned conditions. The water is sprayed from the water injection nozzle in the segmental arc with an angle of 90° with the center point of the pendulum tube. The sample is placed in the center of the semicircle of the pendulum tube. The pendulum tube swings at an angle of 180° with the vertical line, 360° in total. It swings (2*360°) for about 12s each time.
Test Time: The same as type a of IPX 3 (10 min);
b.Shower Head Type Water Splashing Test
Testing Equipment and Sample Arrangement: The same as type b of IPX 3;
Test Condition: Remove the baffle with balance weights, the same as type b of IPX 3;
Test Time: The same as type b of IPX 3. It is calculated according to the superficial area of the shell of the sample, 1min per square meter (excluding installation area), 5 min at least.
(5)IPX 5
Method Name: Water Spray Test
Testing Equipment: The inner diameter of water injection nozzle is 6.3mm.
Test Condition: The distance between the sample and water injection nozzle is 2.5m-3m, and the water flow rate is 12.5 L/min (750 L/h).
Test Time: It is calculated according to the superficial area of the shell of the sample, 1min per square meter (excluding installation area), 3 min at least.
(6)IPX 6
Method Name: Strong Water Spray Test;
Testing Equipment: The inner diameter of water injection nozzle is 12.5 mm.
Test Condition: The distance between the sample and water injection nozzle is 2.5m-3m, and the water flow rate is 100 L/min (6000 L/h).
Test Time: It is calculated according to the superficial area of the shell of the sample, 1min per square meter (excluding installation area), 3 min at least.
(7)IPX 7
Method Name: Short-time Water Immersion Test
Testing Equipment and Test Condition: Immersion box. The sample can be put in the immersion box. The distance between the bottom of the sample and the water surface is at least 1m. The distance between the top of the sample and the water surface is at least 0.15m.
Test Time: 30 min
(8)IPX 8
Method Name: Continuous Water Immersion Test;
Testing equipment, test conditions and test time: Decided through discussion between both parties, the severe degree is higher than IPX
